Info You'll Want on My Skills, Knowledge and Perspective
I'm a former Georgia State basketball player who played an elite level of basketball in high school and AAU. My love for the game started in elementary school and I was literally obsessed with basketball for most of my early years.
As a parent, I'm sure you'd like to "google me". So to help you out, I'm providing information here about my high school, AAU and college basketball career. The pictures from my high school, AAU and college basketball career clearly demonstrate my passion for the game. As a point guard and floor leader, I learned to motivate each teammate to excel by understanding each player as an individual. I bring this knowledge, skill, energy and empathy to my training. I'm most interested in working with younger players with a love for the game before they enter the highly competitive world of elite youth basketball.

One of the greatest gifts I've received in life is this five-part "video story" that memorializes the excitement of competition in my senior year of high school when I led my team to the California Div.II State Championship. If you want to see my skill level, this is a great resource for you.

The state championship was unique. We were playing a team led by now-NBA player Aaron Gordon (Denver Nuggets) and early in the game the team was not performing; you'll hear the announcer say "David Travers is gonna need to step up here" for my team. You'll see my competitive spirit in what follows...
